Does anyone else have a hard time going back to work after having extra days off for a holiday? I have Wednesday - Sunday off this week and now I'm dreading Monday. Lol

I had the whole week off and feel rejuvenated. Short weeks seem the worst for me.

like

A whole week would have probably felt great...glad u got the rejuvenation u needed

like

Yes! Although I just had a nightmare that I completely forgot to log back into work on Monday until like 4PM. Not sure what that means lol

like

Yes. Was off all last week and dreading tomorrow so so much

like

It really is almost harder to have a few days off and go back then to just not have them! Thankful though for the days because I really did need a break. Definitely already dreading Monday, feels like I need more time off, but trying to save the rest of my vacation for next month. Not long now!

I need a permanent paid vacation. Then I'd be happy. Lol

like

Yes it feels so rushed going back

It really does..😭

There comes a point where I'm ready to go back to work. I'm looking forward to Monday if only because it's cold and snowy out and I'm already tired of having nothing to do.

Ah yea that mightake a difference..I'm in Florida.. it got chilly here today but no snow. I'm loving the cold weather.. probably why I don't wanna go back yet lol

I'm not dreading Monday. I really did enjoy my rest time, which I'm thankful for.

Glad ur ready to go back

Yes and no. I dread dealing with entitled people and subordinates who think they can do/ say whatever they want without repercussions and should have someone to hold their hand 24/7. On the other hand I have people i truly enjoy working with and the money is good.

I'm new to marketing and I am not formally educated in it. I have just been learning through experience with the business. I'm supposed to put together a Market report for our sales team to refer to but I have been stuck on what I even include. I have an expensive subscription to a reporting database and I am supposed to translate these technical reports into 20-30 slides. I can't figure out if I am overthinking something simple or lacking some knowledge that people formally learn in school.

Forgive my ignorance but is this normal/standard? Do people actually answer these honestly? One of the reasons I’m leaving my firm is there isn’t enough work in my group so of course my hours are low.

Is it misleading to just look at Total Compensation from a $ dollar value/ Total Compensation seems to be much more subjective than base salary in terms of its value. Some factors might be:

RSUs granted on dollar value or by # of shares & stock price trends
Vesting schedule
strike price on ISOs & delta between strike price and real market value

For instance, most of value in Amazon's comp seems to be granted in years 3 & 4, but it's well known that most people last only 2 years max there.
