Ive been top performer and being commended as smart, fast learner and very reliable in my team prior kids to being laid off from my previous job,i guess due to performance, when I transferred to other dept. Now in my new company,i feel like im not appreciated since Im only giving almost bare minimum work. I want to look for another job and start over again

Has anyone just taken a break from work without anything lined up? Every offer I’ve gotten wants me to start in a month and with 2 weeks notice that leaves me only 2 weeks to recharge. For my mental health I really think I need an extended break (like 3 months). I have about 60k liquid to sustain myself and pay about $1500 a month in rent.

Therapy Scheduling Issues - I love my therapist but they are not able to schedule sessions on the weekend or Friday evening and I’ve missed 7/10 last sessions scheduled due to last minute work stuff. What is WLB balance like at big banks for associates hired from MBA? How many hours per week?

Thinking of switching employers. Do you think bigger retail stores (the ones that have several locations) are easier or harder to work at than little hole-in-the-wall grocery stores (which is all I've ever done)?
