Hi all, recently a recruiter from Amazon reached out for an SDE 2(2+ years of exp. required) role and I'm a recent CS grad. I gave the OA (which was extremely difficult w/ 99% cut-off) and other tasks related to the OA. A few hours back, I got a call from the recruiter that I had cleared the assessment and tasks and said that they are looking for 2+ years of exp. I said I'm open to the SDE1 role and said she'll ask her colleagues. Idk what to expect now 😥 Amazon Amazon India

A good friend of mine was head of strategy there. He said it wasn’t doing well. He also offered me a position if I wanted to but confessed that they could only pay $130 TC (senior business designer) while I was making $200 TC as a senior associate at S&.
My friends there do not speak highly of the culture. I turned down an offer there because I was nervous about that and not willing to take a major pay cut for the opportunity to wear skinny jeans and call myself a designer
What was the part of their culture that turned you down? I'm interested to learn more. What background are you? I am potentially getting an offer. I know about the pay cut. As I am a designer, I am interested in Frog because of the design-led approach. But would love to hear about other's perspective.
Not frog but worked at Prophet (similar value proposition) and happy to talk about that kind of consulting.
frog is a great company to work. It has awesome culture, multi-disciplinary and there is lot to learn. You have freedom to start a new discipline, explore and build new methodologies, frameworks or toolkits. There are numerous opportunities to grow. India studios have awesome folks and caring leadership. Structure is flat and is a agency within it's parent company
