Hi! I am in CA and went from corporate (software sales rep) to cannabis sales. The first thing I will warn about is that the pay scale is very different. You will make much less in the cannabis industry, but... the perks are awesome! If you want to try and juggle both, I would recommend that you look for a job as a brand ambassador. You basically go to the dispensaries for 2-4 hours and set up a pop up table with merch and marketing material to highlight your brand. The goal is to intro the brand to as many people as you can and get them to buy while you are there at the shop (usuially they have a promo deal that coincides with your demo) The majority of BA jobs are part time and demos can be booked most anytime the shop is open I usually run mine 4pm-7pm or on a weekend. This will allow you to keep your day job and still make it to the evening gigs. Good luck on your new adventure. I hope you love it!
I have a much different opinion that BA 1. However, BA 1 good for you, glad to see everything has been working for you. As for me, I went from Tech Sales to cannabis sales. However, I don't work directly in the industry, aside of hit. I sell vape hardware, which there is a lot of money in. Higher base, all the same benefits as a huge corp organization, which I also was at. Way happier here. Co workers are cool, as you could expect being in cannabis, no micro managing and higher base and commission. I would encourage you to look in the cannabis vape space and see what's out there!
