ISO tips on not thinking about salary/promotions/comparing myself to others at work. I’m pretty junior and feel like it is getting in the way of my productivity and I just feel crummy doing it.
Could anyone give PwC Director (Risks - ESG - Technology - Asset Management) Compensation for an International hire? PwC UK
How does one start the negotiation process with company that made a new offer? I have the comp details from them but it’s below what I’d be expecting for 2022 TC if I were to stay in consulting. Additionally, the base offered was lower than what the external recruiter i was working with had shared. Should I bring that up or go straight to the negotiation?

Waiting for official offer from EYP in their legacy TAS group at mid to senior range of Director level. Does anyone know what signing bonuses look like these days? I know I can wait for the offer but my firm usually pays out a retention bonus that matches the signing bonus. Trying to start my list of pros and cons vs staying or leaving. Thanks in advance.

(First ever post) I originally I joined this app to learn from others in consulting on a variety of topics (gender perspectives, comp, tips/ recommendations). Ever since downloading, I see more hatred and people making judgements on others with little context. Consultants are supposed to problem solvers but instead of people sharing perspectives I feel I’m back on Twitter reading threads that only create hate. Anyone else feel that way?

Currently a Sr Analyst Option 2 - Brand name company, title bump to Sr Manager, work is exactly what I want to do in a major industry working with c-suite, ~10% comp increase from current company’s promo pay cont.
Suppose your work for employer A. You get a job with employer B who files you H1-B transfer and you get fired by employer A before the transfer is approved. Does that have any effect on transfer?
Has anyone ever been asked to give total compensation expectations for a role via email before having the first interview?
would it be perceived badly if I would go to another firm only after one year of working here? The new position would pay 25-30% more than the current one.
Looking to create electronic employment files. Do most of you do this in-house or use a data management company? If a company, which one? Looking for advice/tips. Thanks!
My professional life at the moment is far from ideal. I’ve been on quarantine (long story, but a good one) for the last seven years. Royalties from my books don’t pay the bills. My entrepreneurial pursuits remain hampered. For the interim, I’ve been looking for a remote opportunity where I can leverage my skills in marketing, sales, social media, and elsewhere for a decent sum. I have a social media presence which, in recent years, reached millions. There has to be something exciting I can do.
Anyone have the CFF from the AICPA and willing to share their studying/exam experience? Curious about required effort, study plans, exam structure, overall opinions of the cert. Thanks!

Do any other firms have a policy that requires you to return to work for a certain period after paid parental leave, and if you choose to leave you are required to pay it back? If so, is there anyone who decided to leave before the end of that period? What happens if you can’t afford to pay it back?
Can I accept an offer and start my new job while on PTO at current job, waiting for bonus money to hit?

Hi all! New to consulting and I received an offer from Deloitte as a consultant under F&EP within GPS. Any pros/cons to F&EP? How’s the work life balance? I assume it’s project-based but I would love to hear others’ experiences
Anyone know a place to get a drink at 7a in LGA?
I love the creativity spawned from the natural deodorant wars. Native’s holiday ads are killer. What agency did those? Also Lume’s Hallmark movie send up by the Harmon Bros pulled me in even tho Hallmark Xmas movie spoofs have reached max saturation. https://youtu.be/66B-nMPZe2U https://www.adweek.com/convergent-tv/dtc-deodorant-brand-lume-just-made-its-own-version-of-a-hallmark-christmas-movie/amp/
Having 7 YOE to only make 65k with an MBA is the most stressful thing for me, especially at a Big 4. I’ve been trying to get into tech and the recruiters would reach out then are nowhere to be found. I’ve been wanting some assistance but feel like I’m talking to the wrong people.
Any account folks make the leap to client side/in-house agencies? I’m so over being in client service, but still love the process. How is it on the dark side?
By close of eyes is not a reasonable time for any deliverable to be due. You work from home not 24/7. Let’s normalize standard working hours; if work isn’t done within eight to nine hours in day then it’s time for evaluate systems, if all those Zoom calls were necessary and staff utilization.
Thinking of moving from consulting to program management for a software company. I have 6 years working experience and an MBA. I was offered 124k as a base and 12% annual bonus. No sign on bonus or equity. Thoughts on this offer?
