So what happens to comp for associates that are more senior than the scale (ie grad year 2013 or earlier now)? I’m a 7th year and considering a lateral move, which would likely push my partnership eligibility by a couple years because I’ll need to create a track record at the new firm. If I go and I’m still an associate past my 8th year, would I remain at the comp level of an 8th year or how is that usually handled?

As an account exec, I'm the producer. I was really lucky for a few years to have a director who helped with every aspect of the shoot - budgeting, scheduling, shot list, even manual labor! That director is no longer with our agency, and our new director is very hands-off.

I'm trying to understand if I was just spoiled with our past director, or if our new director is lazy... or if it's a mixture of both.
