What do you mean you have a CSP and a Chase Preferred? And no, Chase did not lower the multiplier for travel; CSP gets 2x on travel and CSR gets 3x on travel.
Both cards are worth it not just for the SUBs but for the various perks they have respectively, such as primary collision rental car coverage and 1:1 transfer rate to Hyatt, among others.
It's worth it for the access to transfer partners and the sign up bonus. Bilt has no bonus, so it would actually take years to breakeven against the CSP, if ever.
I would keep some form of the Chase trifecta (potentially with the CSP) so you can use the transfer partners and maximize your points. If you're looking for cash back though, then yeah the card isn't worth it.
It’s absolutely not worth it, just a card the blogs shill. The only reason to keep it is if you have an ink/freedom and need a premium card to transfer points.
The Bilt card gets the same earnings, better transfer partners, and has no annual fee.
I do have a CSR and believe it to be worth it, but it’s debatable every year.
Only worth it to get chase transfer partners. However, I feel the chase ecosystem is weaker overall compared to everything else. I do believe that CSP is better than CSR for most people.
I’m considering opening a chase freedom unlimited and closing my CSP soon. I have a Bilt card and get 3x dining and 2x travel on that.
If you plan to get chase freedom unlimited you still need CSP to transfer UR you earn to Transfer partners.
