Any one familiar with comp for a Portfolio Associate roll at PIMCO on their mortgage backed securities team? I’m looking at an offer and want make sure I’m in line with the average comp for the company and industry. Only 4 months of experience and offer is 98k w/ 10-20% bonus plus 15k relo/ sign on. Looking at Glassdoor, bonuses seem higher than quoted by the hiring manager. (No written offer yet they say they’re still working on it)

I have received an email after my interview with HCL from consultant stating I have selected for HCL technologies and asking for information like, when U was interviewed and whether I received any link for documents upload from HCL.
I replied to that email saying interview has been done and I am yet to receive any link from HCL for documents upload nor any call from HCL HR.

@RSM1 With PwC paying my phone bill and the student loan paydown benefit, that's like an extra $200/month I'm saving. Sure $2400 isn't that much, but I know I'm getting paid less than other firms might so it helps me see the pay gap as less
I worked full time all throughout school and paid out of pocket for tuition (state school). When accepted an offer, I took out a 5k loan to take advantage of the pay down program and PwC is almost finished paying it for me with those 100 dollar monthly payments. I know 1200 a year is not that much, but 5k upfront was nice. Hey, you take what you can get.
No
😞 nope
Yah....100 a month on top of my existing payments reduces the interest rate substantially.
Nothing at all?
That definitely adds up. No complaints at all.
Just a credit if you refinance with SoFi. Nothing great that you can't get yourself.
RSM 1 - 1200/yr till manager adds up depending on how long it takes to get there
^ Did the same thing as PwC4. Gotta work the system
Just curious, do people actually view the student loan pay down as a legitimate differentiator? Isn’t it really just $100 of extra comp a month and it’s just somewhat marketed by PwC as a loan pay down benefit? Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice to get $1,200 if that’s all it is, but is there anything special to this benefit? I wasn’t sure how this benefit works.
Another recruiting gimmick. Get the salary you want don't rely on the these programs that change frequently to supplement your below market salary.
It helps reduce interest significantly too.
Pwc 4 that is genius!
PwC 4 - you also get a tax deduction for your interest (only offsets the additional income I guess)
