If you didn't go to college, how did you learn what you know now in marketing?

I have an interview coming up for the same company where I currently work but for a different department and different role, the thimg is hiring manager mentioned that their salary range is less than that of my current role. I really want to explore other roles and job opportunities for growth and possibly being normal again 🙂 I've worked nights for more that 20 years. What do I do if offered the position but for a lower rate? Thoughts, comments, suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I have worked my way up in Insurance for 4 years but the 1st year being an intern/front desk/admin and was promoted twice and now an account associate helping my AMs/AEs manage our Producers' books of business. Looking for some advice.. Manager left, I was given their work. Promoted few months after, but not to the role of my previous manager. Rec opened, I applied, didn't get it. We hired the new person and in my hopes to offload some of that original work back to them. I was told I'm going to continue to do everything my previous manager was doing.
