Any Spotify people here? Noticed there’s an AM role going at the moment in the UK but not sure what experience level it is. For reference I’ve got 6 years in ad sales experience with 3 years management (both in music industry). Would this be comfortable or is it worth holding out for AD?

I’d say no. Adcoms want a diverse class. They could fill their entire classes with MBB, BB, and Big 4 pretty easily if that was all that they wanted, but then they’d have a lot of very similar experiences, backgrounds, and thought processes in the classroom.
That’s what I said to myself as well. I guess I was worried since I can’t find any MBA candidate with similar backgrounds as I scrolled through LinkedIn search of one M7 I’m applying
Following because I’m in the same boat and wondering the same thing
I think the short answer is no, but the more nuanced answer is it depends. You will have to have strong GMAT and GPA almost as a prerequisite. The reality is something like MBB is already a big filter mechanism, so MBA programs aren’t going to be nearly as critical of an avg GMAT or GPA.
I’d guess you need to be very firmly at or over the GMAT avg for whatever schools you’re targeting.
That’s a really good point! Thanks!
