While most teachers are protected by teacher unions, I feel my voice hasn’t been heard at all with my concerns of going back to school next week. Our diocese has decided on full return 5 days/ week for all 42 schools despite a recent increase in COVID in our communities. Every other school that I know of in my state is either choosing remote learning to start the year or a hybrid approach, yet that was not an option for us. Are other Catholic schools I. The same boat? Stay safe!

How much rent should I be paying?

Finding a house-share with enough working space for wfh seems expensive since I first moved to London 4 years ago - £900+ pcm and still competing for the room! Is it worth just trying to rent solo a little further out for ~£1,300pcm? Big issue is I’m only earning ~£45k with 4yoe.

Need advice in choosing between 2 offers :
Company 1 : $170k base + 10% bonus + 136k rsu + 5k sign on
Cons : junior title\level, hybrid

Company 2 : $150k base + 10% bonus
Pros : senior role\title, fully remote

Would you go for junior role for high salary? Would it hurt in future?

Current: unemployed.
Location: Bay Area
Thanks in advance.

I just decided I'm gonna go natural after being relaxed for 15 years. I really don't want to big chop and am ok with transitioning slowly. I'm not very comfortable with short hair. Nothing is wrong with my hair now, its pretty healthy for relaxed hair. I just want a change. I would like some tips on anyone who has done it this way. Anyone who may be 4A or 4B. For the most part, I remember what my natural hair looks like, and I'm thinking I will fall in one of those categories.

Love this expectation chart for online learning. But, should we expect students to have to turn on a camera? Is this fair to the kids who have different living situations and might feel embarrassed of showing their living space? Idk what to do with that aspect of distance learning. Suggestions?

Working on some law firm applications tonight and it sucks that I know that I am so capable and have a strong work ethic but firms can’t see beyond grades or the fact that I didn’t go to a t14 law school or prestigious undergrad. I’ve worked twice as hard and feel like I’ve barely even gotten half as much. It’s discouraging sometimes especially because I worked so hard with pretty much no guidance (first gen, poc, low-income) to get into college and do well and then get into a t30 law school

Question for funds folks, since no one is around to answer any questions and I can't seem to find this answer anywhere.
