Well if it makes you feel any better we are all doing that at a discount
Holy fuck that's bad
Less than my associate year 2 to 3 raise
Discouraged I guess is my mood, but if I like what I'm doing is it worth doing it at a discount?
The partner told me my raise was low because of "pay bands". I'm paraphrasing, but it was something like "you were an awesome associate so we're gonna penalize you when we promote you to senior"
Region? LOS?
It was 9%
Got 11% when bumped to senior, 65 total due to "high performer living in a cheaper market" or some bs. Feel pretty slighted as well
PY. Got 10% when i was promoted. Tier 3. Everyone Tier 3 A3 moving to S1 got 10%. North Texas Mkt. Don't let money mess with your head. Stick with PwC.
How bad was you raise OP?
Tax, Midwest market
If it was between 15-20% don't complain
I mean, are you incredibly overpaid? Cause that seems bad
I'm in the 60 to 70 range. I still feel slighted even now.
70 is good. 65 is alright
Similar situation. I got 10% but I'm at the lower end of the pay band on the manager level despite being the only person with a professional degree. I get a lot of RAC awards. Exceeded utilization. Exceeded overtime metrics for BD work. I brought in work. I love EY but it's demoralizing that my pay is below median and the guys who are earning more don't even go to market yet. I don't want to leave but some would say it's foolish to stay.
I feel like I'm leaving money on the table of I stay, but I'm so deep into tax no one wants me for anything else.
Once you have a niche within a specialization it's harder to leave. But it only gets harder once you make manager / senior manager. We have SMs who have been looking for industry work for over 6 months. They're too specialized.
