Has anyone ever given more than 2 weeks notice at the senior level? From conversations with my peers, it sounds like 75% are interviewing currently with the goal to transition before busy season. I just want to put my team in a decent position to replace me before this potential mass exodus of seniors from my group.
Any Salesforce AEs here? Applying/looking, and curious if there is a “preferred” business unit to sell to? They are obviously different industry sectors, just curious WLB/happiness levels and salary differences A few options below: Insurance Marketing Cloud Data & Identity Manufacturing Retail
Told my boss that I have accepted a new job offer. Reason I’m leaving is because my current salary is laughable and on top of that no benefits after working there for 5 years. So now all of a sudden he wants to match what they’re offering me. Makes me think he could have given me that raise a long time ago.
I believe MBA has somewhere lost its value. In the age of technology, one should pursue Technology related courses rather than spending a hefty amount on MBA. What's your view on this fishes?
I got rolled onto a project right out of onboarding, but I don’t have the skills for this role. Should I embrace a grueling 6 months or consider speaking to my manager about rolling off?
What do unemployment benefits look like now? 450/week plus an additional 600/wk if it’s covid related? Is it taxed as income?
What monitor would you recommend for WFH situation assuming a IB/fund role? Know there is disagreement whether one wider monitor is better than dual smaller ones so would love to hear both perspectives. Some wider ones that have been recommended to me were Dell Ultrasharp 34 curved USB-C and Samsung Ultrawide 34
Where is the future home for principled, democratic conservatives? Do we think a new conservative party can build around the likes of Cheney, Romney and Kinzinger? How can they gain critical mass? From rewriting state election laws, to fomenting insurrection, to going to war with public health officials over COVID vaccines, the GQP are irredeemable at this point.
Hi everyone, looking for a PWC referral for a couple of Senior associate roles in manufacturing / supply chain service lines. YOE - 8 and have an advanced degree in engineering.
As a first generation college graduate, first one to land a job in Corp. America, there’s so much that I wasn’t prepared for like 401k, investing, along with other things that increase your TC that aren’t bonuses or your base salary or how to diversify your income. I’m 25 and I feel like there is SO much I still don’t know. Any good book recommendations/youtubers/podcasts that helps navigate this?
Can somebody please explain to me why MBB and other top consulting firms are so adamant that you have an MBA? I majored in accounting, finance, and operations management at a top 10 undergrad business school and then got my masters in information systems from the grad school program. I took multiple MBA courses as electives when getting my masters and it seemed like those classes were very basic and easy. Idk if I would learn anything in an MBA program that I hadn’t already learned in undergrad
Wonder if people who claim to be more effective and efficient thanks to WFH and wish to never go back to the office are the same people whose jobs are more likely to get off-shored/ outsourced? At the end of the day, if it's just a transactional, "follow-the script" kind of job requiring minimal interaction/relationship/collaboration with other team members, why would the companies be incented to keep paying salaries + benefits when they can just as easily ship these jobs overseas?
What should be the next certification that I should get? I have the CFE. I’m targeting the CFCS and the ACAMS as the next ones that I should get. Any thoughts on which one I should get 1st? Pros/Cons

Thoughts on Jabian consulting? Up for promotion in July, and got presented to interview with Jabian. Working on getting to Capgemini Invent right now after my promotion. Have anyone done contracting negotiations before? I've interviewed for co A & B and co A extended an offer today. The offer does not meet my current salary. Co B's interview structure is 3 rounds and I've finished my 2nd round today. The recruiter mentioned that since I am a contractor my current salary is incomparable as they will provide benefits, etc. Is this true? I have 2 yrs of contracting HR exp from fortunate 500 co’s & OMW to get my SHRM-CP. Appreciate your advice in advance.
What are some good exit companies/roles for someone with a risk and compliance background (industry and consulting). Looking to stay (ideally) in FS, fintech, or tech
Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks

Hey Everyone - I want to put aside 10K USD for my baby sister to give to her when she heads off to college...she's 1 years old, much much younger than I (23), so can assume a 18-20 year investment maturity period. I felt college specific tax funds were a bit too restrictive - e.g. want her to be able to use the cash as she needs (college or just life), even if it's left unliquidated for additional growth. Any ideas here on potential ways to invest it? Any tax advantaged plans you recommend?
Anyone looking to practice case interviews?I have one in next two weeks and i am looking for people to practice it live with.
What are the potential benefits of working at a deals oriented firm (e.g., LEK, S& Deals, EY-P) as compared to the more traditional Big 4 MC type roles at the post-M level? Really struggling with putting in the hours for the deals centric role as I’m not 100% sure of the longer term payoff (besides short term slight bump in comp).
Current moms, how do you make this career work with children? Putting off having a baby because I love my job and just can’t imagine how to do both.
