Entertaining the idea of purchasing a rental property with a friend in the next few months. Idea is to purchase a 3 bedroom as our primary residence for the first year (third room will be occupied by mutual friend) at around a $3500 mortgage. After year one, we’d ideally use the house as a medium term rental (MTR) property, catering to traveling nurses / military.
