Honestly, there is no right or wrong. It might sound rude or too direct but whatever decisions and action you take has a consequence attached to it. It can be positive or negative. But in the end, you will know for sure that it was your decision, if that is enough for you, you don't need to seek any validation on your self doubt. Have faith in yourself and the reason why you chose to do what you did in the first place.
There is no one else in this whole wide world, who would know what it's like to walk in your shoes.
I've also resigned without offer and will upskill on Data engineering for 2-3 months...
My LWD is also 30th Oct
Thanks man. Using this time to upskill.
When did you drop this mail on 1st Nov 2022?
Instead of 30th Oct. I mistyped the date as 30th Nov. But that has been taken care of. Fortunately 😀😀
Are you from the future? If you've already resigned then how come 30 days of Notice period will be on Nov 30 2022?
It was 30th Oct. I mistyped it.😀😀 It has been taken care of though.
No need to tell why you are leaving the organisation in your resignation mail. Nobody cares to be honest.
Just say thank you for the opportunity and move on. No one gives a damn about what you would do after you leave the org. Give out only what is needed
@senipr developer 1. I was specifically asked to drop an email with the reason I am leaving which is why this email has been sent. But yes I will keep your point in mind going forward.
These that's also came in my mind and had fear like this.
But try to roam like thalwe in market and see what i can do if i don't have job so I see many options by which I cal live my life with family.
I feel like living in bangalore/metro city is like you are earning to pay bills .
Small city still you can live life in good ways
IT is not life
I certainly agree with you @lavi singh
Nice move... I did the same 6 years ago.. I upskilled and studied for 3 months, got married , celebrated the new married life , came back refreshed tried 15 20 interviews... cracked 3 of my dream companies, chosed one.. and now completing 6 yrs with them.... sometime such breaks recharge you up...
This gives me a lot of hope. Thank you for sharing and bringing positivity here.🙏
If u don't mind can I ask u r upskilling for which domain?
Rising Star
Bro one suggestion in terms of upskilling, you should take up MERN stack ( Mongo, Express, React, Node), learn thoroughly don't go for. Net development now.
Chill bro. I also resigned without any offer letter. Within a month I got 2 offers, both from reputed organisations. There are a lot of scopes for skilled people. Don't worry
After completing my NP I got
My last working day was 6th Oct
Hopefully my joining date will be 25th Oct
Post-dated Resignation.
If you are good with the financial stability... no worries... just move on as you already decided.
Be confident with your decisions once you made it!!
You will fetch good results!
Or else you may find a newer path you have not even thought about in advance☺️
Only .net and Java people can take risk to regain without any offer apart from it you should avoid it. It's my own experience becz millions of app running on .net and Java and requirement for .net and Java are always open and it's recession prrof tech.
I am upskilling for dotnet full stack Development.
Life is big. Just don't worry about all these small things. Many a times we get into that zone of overthinking and later on we realise that it was not even worth our time. The worst that can happen from here is you could end up being jobless for 6 months but even that is worth because nothing is more important than mental peace. There are tons of companies that are ready to hire. Just start up-skilling yourself and set smaller targets ahead of yourself.
And don't worry about people telling you that mail body was incorrect, subject was immature and all. Few have spent their lifetime managing outlook and doing nothing, hence they over-focus on trivial things.
And all the very best. Do refer me when you get into your dream company :D
Thank you for the positivity 🙏 Appreciate your kind words.🙂
Its good to think before we act.
Don't think after the act.
Not sure what causes you to fear.
Have you taken this risk without calculating the financial dependecy during the job less period ?
I have taken calculated risks and yes I have considered every stringent situation that might come including financial dependency. Fortunately my family supports my decision and my wife is there to manage finances at least for a couple of months. So this gives me a boost.
You shall just mention as for your "personal reasons" in the resignation email for such scenarios.
Understood and appreciate your suggestion. Will take this as a learning.
You don't need to state your problem in such detail makes it look like you want others to sympathize with your situation.
Nothing matter more in life than your health and mental well being. Jobs will come and go. Spend wisely, live nicely! Companies and HR don't care for anyone. Never give up on your health for these two species 😁
This post of yours really lifted me up.
I am going thru same dilema to resign without offer bcz currenty due to heavy workload i am not able to upskill and work culture is also not good.
Hats off to you to come up so honestly and resigning without offer is indeed a courageous move
I am glad to know that.🙂 We all need to take calculated risks at times for our own betterment.
.
I see you've been commenting "."
Hope you haven’t send this to HR.
I haven't.
