EY doesn’t do 401K matchings until 1 year of service? Read that from the fidelity welcome brochure, is this accurate?

Big 4 401k is trash but you also participate in the pension plan. EY will contribute 3% (for new hires) into your pension account. Same vesting schedule as 401k and if you leave EY before retirement, you can roll the contributions into an IRA.

Pension plus 401k makes the retirement benefits about average.

The contributions in the pension vest on the same schedule as the 401k. You won’t get the annuities unless you “retire” from EY.

Yeah big 4 seems trash from what I’ve read. I’m at a relatively small firm overall but biggest local for the city. My employer does this 3% salary match thing, no vesting period at all. We don’t even need to contribute for them to give us that either, they just do it.

like

This is the only company I’ve worked for that has a vesting schedule - since the mid 90s

Also I believe EY is 25% match from year 1-3 and then 50% after that.

but at ey the contribution for year 1 is made at the beginning of year 2. so if u leave during the year, no contribution.

I’m 32. I have $80k saved. $40k currently invested. Then ~$50-60k in 401k. My plan was to save for a house, but prices have skyrocketed. Hi, I started my Digital Marketing business about 7-8 months ago with only 2.7 lakh rupees. I've been facing losses every month since then. I understand that I'm failing because I am working alone. I need to know what I'm doing wrong with my pitch and my approach to onboard new clients.

Also I am open to discussing partners and investors even though I have nothing extraordinary to offer right now. But I have a really good brand, story, and grit to make it big with the right help.
