Wwyd if you were me: we have more cash than we need in savings account (not a ton more, but more than our usual emergency / buffer). Have $20k left on car loan at 3.5%. Normal I’d invest the extra cash and keep loans. But with markets and inflation as they are, should I just pay the loan off?

So I’m only contributing to 401k enough to get employer match, and I’m saving an additional ~20% and putting 90% of that into my vanguard mutual funds. Reasoning is that I don’t want to lock away all that money maxing out 401k. Have 3 months expenses liquid in a savings account. Is this really dumb? Essentially trading tax for the option of actually using my money.

Has anyone left healthcare and is now really happy? I’m an MSN, RN with 12 years hospital experience. I’m burned out and tired of making crap pay. I have an opportunity outside of healthcare that would pay more and challenge me in new ways that I haven’t experienced before. It’s a total shift that would really heal my work-life balance, job satisfaction and budget. My only fear is that I would not be using the license and degree that I worked so hard for. I have $200K in betterment for automated investing (eg 90% stock 10% bond) and use Personal Capital to track all my accounts. Recently personal capital approached me to use their advisory service to manage the investment - the fee is 0.89% vs. 0.25% at betterment. They don’t seem to have a better strategy except “we have a live person managing your investment”. Anyone have experience? Shall I consider it? (I don’t have time /energy to manage it)

I have a brokerage account with 7k in it, split 70% VOO 30% SCHF. I now have an additional 11k I can add - how should I allocate it?
