Feeling stuck - how do you all stay patient and positive while waiting for whatever immigration stuff you're waiting for?
Im on an H1B at Deloitte. I want to move to the Dubai and have been getting some traction with two different consulting firms. I’ve used less than one year of my first H1B. If at some point in the future I want to move back to the US will that count as a new petition or the sponsoring company with which I’ll get a job can file a transfer petition and get me started?
Is it ethical to say NO to the company which I already accepted the offer and they already started immigration process. P.S. I got a better offer than other company which has more RSU'S AND better base pay.
Has anyone recently gotten their H1B visa stamped in the Toronto consulate? How long did it take for them to return your passport?
Which firms offer Day 1 Green Card Process? I know there is FAANG, Microsoft, Twitter... any others? Thanks!
What's the best consulting firms for H1B folks who have studied masters in STEM here? Got a cousin graduating this fall and he needs to know H1B/GC policies.
I am almost 2 years into my H1B. They haven’t started my I140 but when I joined told me that I would be eligible in a year of which I am coming up on in this Oct. I got a new offer today but they told me that they would apply I140 after a year from when I join. The pros of the new one is TC more than 18k with sign-on of 15k (not sure clauses for this) and better wrk-life bal). My question is, how long into H1B is it advisable to have an I140 applied for. Would 3-4 years into my H1B be too late?
Immigration 🐠 - If I have an I140, how difficult is it to get an F1 visa to pursue an MBA? After the MBA, should I go through the H1B lottery process again? What happens to my spot in the GC queue?
Hey folks, Has anyone transferred their H1B to another employer? How did it go, eg did you need to stop working / leave the country/ anything else? How long does it take? Anyone with a Green card in process - has it affected you in any way? Thanks!
Does anyone know if EY is doing premium processing for h1-b visa transfers? Also what are the chances of an h1-b transfer being denied? Thanks!
Thinking about transferring from EY US to EY London. I'm a staff 1 and unfortunately didn't win the visa lottery. Any thoughts of how hard it is to transfer?
Curious question: Selected in this year lottery but for “h1b change of status cap subject FY2021”. I was planning to change company if h1b is approved this year(oct 1). Does this email subject line above means that I have to wait until next year October(2021) in order for my h1b to be officially approve and to change company? 😰
I'm with Accenture and seeing a suitable roles with EY, Deloitte and PWC. Do EY, Deloitte and PWC transfer H1b? What's the typical timeframe for them to start Green card processing?
Was talking to this girl ( arranged marriage ) over the past couple of months(jun-sep) and things were progressing towards in the correct direction. During our inital conversion in the early stages, I had mentioned everything about my status (h1b. with early stages of perm,i-140 stage) and told her how she won't be able to get EAD immediately after coming the US) All of sudden she said(oct) she now does not want to come to the US as my status does not allow her to work immediately in the US.
Anyone heard about the eb5 visa category? Looking for options for my younger brother who's not in IT
Does EY offer joining bonus for exp hires when extending an offer? Or should I be negotiating for that?
Better to be a big fish in a small pond or a little fish in a big pond for MBA apps (I.e. superstar at B4 or mediocre/below average at MBB; metaphorically speaking ofc, ik the B4 is technically bigger in terms of size but you understand the point in terms of competitiveness)?
Do you think Apple and Amazon fight over who's the first A in FAANG like BCG and Bain over MBB?
Sooo which agency is the beat in Detroit? Culture/work/life balance/creativity/fulfillment as metrics.
So we hired our own doctor to be on a firm wide WebEx about how COVID is ok. When pushed on whether the Dr would travel, he says “No.” LOL @ the idiocy of my firm.
Do top 10 schools generally fly you out for interviews? Or are they mostly Skype? Or do you have to pay your way to interview in person? Does it depend on the school?
I’m a tech consultant working in the SAP practice. I’m a second year associate. I have decided that I don’t like the culture of consulting - work more hours, always add more work and responsibility to your plate, etc. I would like to work a job that is more 9-5 that doesn’t expect you to work in so many different things at once. What industry roles should I be applying to? Is leaving after 1.5 years too soon?
Great I had a panic attack during an interview. At least it was over the phone and I could fake a cough to give me time to recover. Wtf universe.
One of the best thing of the job is you won't be stuck with the same people. I'm so glad I'll roll off soon and it's been so frustrating to deal with some ppl on my team.
What is the “client-side” equivalent role for producers? Does it even exist? How would a producer go “client-side” instead of an agency?
Anyone willing to help advise me for how TF to advertise on YouTube these days? The client doesn’t currently have a Google My Business page so I need to set that up…. Then what? 🧐 Any help would be appreciated. I get more confused every time I try to Google it.
Does anyone here hold a non-CFA designation (CFP, CAIA, FRM etc.) and what kind of role/position do you have?
I'm a Deloitte Tech Strategy & Architecture Senior Consultant with a Haas MBA looking to transfer to MBB. I'm up for manager this year and appreciate that if you move over you are expected to reset to first year post-MBA but has anybody been able to negotiate maybe a 2nd year post-MBA or even a manager/PL/EM entry? What specific tech skills are MBB looking for that they would be willing to offer flexibility on starting level. Again this is for the consulting not expert tracks at MBB. Many thanks in advance!
