Yes. The gmat is a game and the hardest part of B School
I didn’t do amazingly on the SAT, probably close to you (can’t remember exactly). But got a 770 on the GMAT. But like pwc2 said, my study skills were better and I was more motivated (and mature), so not sure this is the best barometer. May be more helpful to figure out tactics people have used to efficiently achieve high scores?

I had a 1230 sat and scored 99th% on gmat. EE major I think my math score on gmat was perfect. Didn’t attend a top MBA program but the top of my class was all engineering undergrads.

I got a 1700/2400 on the SAT and am gonna start studying for the gmat so just curious

It’s probably highly correlated but you may have better study skills now. It’s very similar to an SAT type test
It’s not entirely an IQ test so it’s possible to hit 700 if you study right

I was the opposite for my first GMAT. 1490/1600 SAT and 670 GMAT, then studied up and got 730.
I got 710 and feel that I am losers, didn't got any school offer
hahahah I am bad at both actually I hate those exams
Got a 19XX on the SAT. 760 GMAT.
