One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

Anyone who has started up a side hustle whilst working in consulting - is it generally a good idea to let your employer know or will they make your life difficult/try to push you out if they know?

Unpopular(?) opinion - I like consulting a lot

Let’s be honest, since we’re all wfh (or most of us are), whose contemplated on picking up another 9-5? Lol. I’m be real, I have. Even for some chump change, it’s easily doable and sustainable for at least 2021.

I want to further develop my BI and DE skills. Currently exploring paths of AWS certs with some others mixed in, does this seem like a good strategy:
AWS CCP>Tableau DS> ICAgile (ICP)> AWS SAA>AWS DA > PMI CAPM > and then maybe tableau data analyst or Powerbi.

Any book recommendations for philosophy, psychology, and business? Or any book you read last year changed your values? Going to fly international, gonna read it on flight. 😍

Every time I have talked to a partner/senior manager I was told I don’t have the skill set they’re looking for, but I don’t know how to build up from there.
