What does FCST w/ ghost mean
McKinsey & Company Has any industry experienced candidates pivot to MBB Engagement Manager before? My roommate works at FAANG as Senior Analyst (Ops, 6+ YOE) and was approached by McKinsey & Company recruiter for an EM role. He hasn’t done consulting before. Would this be too much of a risk? His goal is to pivot to PE S&O eventually.

For the past three years raises have generally been as follows: 3:10%, 4:12.4%, 5:15%. Now these numbers were not set in stone as I once got only 12.5% as a 5 one year but generally these are the numbers most people got from my sample pool. This year raises might be 2-3% lower due to it just being a tougher year since we set such high Rev targets, this is mainly just an educated guess. If anyone has any more info please let the group know
The way I see it this is mainly fault of managers and Sr managers who don't set proper expectations and just hand out 4/5s and very few 3s. This has caused severe rating inflation

Any insight into PBB % by rating?
So to start off. Rating and promotions get finalized in mid July. Roundtables are however complete.
From folks and partners that I have talked to its gonna be brutal this year. Pretty much everyone came into roundtable gunning for a 4 or 5 rating and very few 3s. Because of this a lot of people are going to get pushed down on their ratings to meet distribution
Unless you've got a bunch of partners supporting you. You are not getting a five no matter how awesome you think you did. And if you're going for a 4 you should expect a 3
I feel ratings will strictly be on utilization this year. Thats the feedback i received during the roundtables for my counselees

No word on PBB yet. Last year it was 5:7.15%, 4:4.09%, 3:2.04% for seniors. The announcement was sent out on August 18 so expecting that PBB will probably come out in August this year as well. However one thing to keep in mind is that we were not "investing" as heavily as this year so expect it to be smaller this year. A big "investment" this year was the strategy practice which has sucked up a lot of money.
