I am on reduced hours at my firm, but will be about 10% over my target this year. Can anyone who is also reduced hours describe whether your firms will true you up at the end of the year for the time you go over? Does the firm pay you the additional base that you would have gotten as a full time associate OR does the firm do a pro-rated bonus instead? Something else? I would like to be made whole for the time I’ve gone over but would love to hear more about others’ experience in this area.

Why isn't utilization part of your bonus? I get why it doesn't go towards performance...but if I'm charging 100% for the year that means I making the company a lot of money! Hook it up!!

How much does everyone give their doormen/women as a Christmas bonus?

I am looking for advice. I was extended a verbal job offer and was so happy over the phone that I forgot to ask about a signing bonus. I haven’t received the written offer yet. Is it too late to ask for a signing bonus? If not, how do I bring up that conversation?

My wife doesn't work, been out of work for 6 months (this is job 5 in 4 years), and I feel incredibly overwhelmed being a sole income household and trying to move to CA and buy a house.
