Interviewing with Apple next week for the roles of Global Supply Manager (GSM) and Worldwide Procurement Analyst in Austin. Does anyone have any tips or advice for the interview? What kind of questions do they ask?
Also, what’s the compensation like in Austin specifically? I would think the compensation would be different than Cupertino. Anyone have any offers or salaries for these positions in Austin?
Hi Fishes
I would like to know about the client interviews (especially in data science or machine learning roles).
Are these interviews tough?
Are these interviews meant to assess technical knowledge? For example, what is binomial distribution, what are different data structures in python, ml algorithms etc.
I would request each of the nagarrians to share their thoughts irrespective of the technologies you are working.
I am thankful to you for taking time and helping me out.

I think comp is pretty comparable.
I thought you meant Strategy& or EYP

That’s why it’s important to network with professionals in the group you’re interviewing for instead of firm recruiters. Firm recruiters know the bare minimum about a team to give you a touched-up corporate spiel.
Fair, but professionals for sure lied

In my experience, most of the people with no wlb are too afraid to stand up for themselves and do nothing but complain here with hopes of resolving their issues. Complaining without action is whining. Also, I think the compensation is comparable.

OP asked for perspectives. I gave mine. 🤷♂️

Recruiters are not going to tell you the truth. You should’ve done your due diligence.
Sure did. I did do my research online. My fault for believing the professionals I worked with in person during my internship
Strategy& doesn’t count
Agreed
I work 50 hours a week max

You’re not wrong
Does MBB have to do reinvest like we do at pwc? Wondering because I’m joining soon. Comp is not comparable
So damn sad
What kind of hours do you have? I would say the graph SC1 posted feels right for us in that 60-65 actual work time feels average. A week with 55 hours would be considered lightish/good WLB, 70 is a tougher case or you’re stepping up in a new role, and 80+ would be rare (though not rare enough) . <50 hour weeks are almost unheard of... you sometimes get that if you’re on the beach supporting a proposal, but not while staffed.
My experience
Client work:
45 to 55 (exceptions do occur)
Extra curricular:
5 - 10 hours: average ranking
10 - 15: above average
15 - ♾: top ranking
Which firm?
