First 8 weeks as an Associate after jumping from Big4:

Pros - super smart/driven colleagues, more unique/interesting work, more ownership, benefits are awesome, traveling frequently, more technical work, more frequent feedback

Cons - hours are worse, much faster timelines, having to learn the BCG way quickly, much higher expectations, less ability to choose cases

Overall very happy with the switch so far - happy to answer any questions!

A company has 2 candidates, aged 25-30, equal in every respect save one’s a man the other’s a woman. Maybe the woman is a slightly better candidate overall. They’d have equal comp.

I graduated with my MBA in finance in 2020 and began working at a bank as a Management Trainee. 2 years later, I am an assistant to a financial advisor studying to become a financial advisor. However, I have to do this on MY time and not the bank's.

I was looking on LinkedIn and didn’t find many people who are working in the White House after Bain, but found countless examples for McKinsey. Would it be difficult to try to transition to working in government after a few years at Bain? Any thoughts?
