Hi all, I just got a job offer at PwC for a senior consultant position. The salary is 30% above my total comp right now, but I’m just worried about the amount of work I will have to put in compared to my amazing work life balance now. Does anyone have any experience moving from industry to consulting? I need some advice on what to do. I’m still early in my career (1.4yoe) so I feel like I shouldn’t care too much about wlb, but at the same time, I don’t want my mental health to suffer either.
Hi folks,
I am going through interview process in Nielseniq currently for Big data engineer role.
Total Yoe - 3.3 years
Current salary - 15 + 1 Lpa approx.
Joined Sapient only six months back.
Can someone provide your reviews so far about the company, mainly looking for learning, wlb can be compromised a bit.
Also, what should be the general expected salary for the role and tech in NielsenIQ ?

>billed 500 hours
Ah so they’re lying
Yea the timesheet was ridiculous. I would get out of there ASAP.
YOU’RE KIDDING are they really doing this? Also a first year and I cannot even fathom.
same like i’m pretty sure posting a pic of my time sheet ANYWHERE would get me heavily reprimanded if not fired. wtf are pekple doing??
500? I don’t think that’s even possibly. That would be working every single day 17 hours And sleeping, eating, commuting, etc in until other 7. They’re either lying or massively inflating their billables.
I think 300 is pretty much the max I could physically accomplish.
I'm a 7th year and didn't know this was a thing. Or maybe because there wasn't IG stories yet when I was a first year lol still can't imagine doing that now though
I have always used 200 as my hours benchmark for a good month of billing. Anyone trying to flex on IG about billing 300+ in a month either has no personal life or is just lying. Also, be skeptical of the “I’m on trial” reasoning (if a first year offers it).
This is SO dumb. I cannot imagine why someone would do that. I’m a 4th year & I can’t remember anyone doing this when I first started.
They are doing it as a weird flex — I make SOOOO much money and I work SOOOO hard.
Is the pretax covid bonus really just a payment to make up for the pay cut they took? Ignore it. They sound like tools.
No, basically everyone in big law is getting the same bonus but it’s like $7k after taxes (for first years) in two installments and it’s just a mind trick to keep you at the firm. I will not be tricked! But I’m also not going anywhere any time soon lol cause I was already tricked... thx student loans.
I’m a first year. I thankfully haven’t seen anything like this from my peers, and it has never even crossed my mind to post something like this. 🙄 It definitely seems like a cry for attention.
