Your partner friend is right from everything I’ve heard. Hanging out with several similarly situated individuals the past couple days, we are all of the same opinion.

@pwc1 well we will know for real next week so I don’t think that’s a great plan lol

Lies...they were getting fat bonuses back in the day

That partner must be a clueless advisory guy. Is he?

No!!

I think you will find the first year partner to be very wise.

So when was bonus plus raise ever close to 25k?

Wrong!

Is the MBB name really worth it over Big4, T2, Boutiques in terms of exit opps? Would love to hear from experienced hires who have insight into both types of exits (MBB vs other) to better comp and wlb (tech is ideal but any industry works). I know type of case work factors heavily into opportunities but how much does the MBB name really open? Is that name recognition worth leveling down to grind for another few years?

Just got an offer for a Sr. AWS DevOps role at 145K, I will be working remotely 100% with maybe 5% travel, if any. No bonus with this company. I have over 8 years of DevOps and AWS, all AWS certs . Should I be asking for more $? Thoughts on the offer and how much more $ I should be asking for ? Current location is kinda irrelevant since I will be working remotely.

Working as an audit staff in big 4 shared service centre. It's been 2 years. I really don't like what I do there, also it seems I won't like what I'll be doing there even after becoming senior. Thinking of leaving and joining industry once ACCA qualified. (One more paper left). But people around me discourage that growth potential and earnings in industry are way less compared to public accounting. I know that too but I still want to leave. I'd like to stick to core accounting. Thoughts pls
