Desire pearl, experience of a lifetime
A1 - that isn’t an accurate description. This is a very couple centric destination
Agree on desire pearl, desire riviera maya is a great option as well
Don’t knock it till ya try it
You need to go to mars with that that many points
...Went to Tahiti/Bora Bora for honeymoon and want something on par. Have ~8days. Thinking Maldives or similar but that's far from east coast in that timeframe. Suggestions welcome please!
Maldives is about 800 to 1.2m pts for the over the water rooms in November.
Caveat...it's my next trip with my wife, I haven't been there yet. We are mixing it in with 2 wks in in India after.
Gritti Palace in Venice, then the Excelsior in Milan. Rent a car to drive in between to visit some small towns and spend a night in Como. It’s not beachy in the traditional sense, but by the water and a cultural experience you’ll never forgot.
St Regis or W Maldives. Used to be 90k starpoints (270k marriott) per night.
One of the hotels on Koh Samui Thailand.
Jack can’t talk Thai...
OP, were u having super admin access to all the points databases?
One of the SPG properties in Santorini, with room upgrade was ridiculously gorgeous. We got the best room they had and it was actually special!
You could probably rent out the whole Marriott in like Birmingham, AL 🤷🏻♂️
Preferably not continental US. want as far as possible so I can fly international first class (on points) that still fits in to ~8 day timeframe.
hawaii, bali, boracay, langkawi, krabi, maldives, lakshdweep, andaman nicobar. stay away from continental US, they are all average.
St Regis Bali. Maldives. Maybe Hawaii?
St Regis in Kauai and Bali are nice too, with great spas. Not as nice as the property in santorini i was talking about (if you get that specific room I mentioned)
Go to Mallorca
I’m staying there next year
How many years did it take to rack up those points?
Have fun and report back on what you decided! We are parents too and now only live vicariously through everyone else’s exotic travels!
The JW Maldives is only ~340k points for 5 nights in an over water hit with a private pool. It’s not open yet, but set to open in August/September I believe.
Continental US, or doesn’t matter? Any preference on chain or brand?
Definitely on par with bora bora/Maldives albeit a few subtle differences
