First interview for a senior strategic business development consultant position at Dell tomorrow. What’s it like working at Dell? What would be roughly TC for the position (cash, stock, bonus)? Is it similar to a corporate strategy role in the company? I am a client-facing consultant in the traditional track currently.
Q for Google folks- in the time it took a friend to put me into referral system, the job listing I was interested in was taken offline. Does this mean the position is filled or just that they're moving to the next stage (eg interviews)?
In other words, is it worth asking my friend to connect with the hiring manager or has the ship sailed for that job?

FB definitely looks better. What’s the vesting schedule like? Monthly? Quarterly? Yearly?
Actually - no matter what the vesting, if it’s over 4 years, at Microsoft you’ll make 90K in 2 years. At FB with yearly vesting, 100K in just a year. The Microsoft stock will never catch up even with a faster vesting schedule than FB. FB def seems like the better deal
Are you open to moving? Are your only deciding factors money and moving?
I would rather not, but yes those are the only deciding factors, but given that I'm more interested in the Facebook role.
The stock for FB is massive, even though the base is a bit lower. If it's also the role you're most interested in, I would say definitiely take the facebook role.
FB as per stock and brand . Microsoft if you are from Redmond area and have family there ( and you meet them every week)
Yeah it's tough because it's so nice to stay in Redmond but I guess FAANG and stock is worth it...No I don't see my family super regularly, it's more just a comfort thing.
Sounds like FB is the way to go, so I will seriously think about that. Thanks all.
