Flying for vacation this weekend. Get to EWR extra early expecting a zoo and...it's emptier than I've seen it in a long time. Guess I timed it right.

LGA is relatively quiet too, tho it's my first time here so I don't really have a basis of comparison. I will say tho, WHY IS GATE C7 IN TERMINAL B. That makes no sense! 😡

like

Same with ORD!

I did the same thing at JFK last year on the day before thanksgiving. I got there early because I expected a zoo and it was probably the best travel day of the year. Flight departed early, arrived early, and my bags were like 3rd off the belt. It was amazing for the "busiest travel day of the year"

like

Indeed you did. Most folks are already en route or at their destinations.

One of the great many problems with LGA is gate numbering. It's so easy to fix and they can't even be bothered with it.

Yeah it's actually extremely frustrating at LGA. Don't know what idiot decided it was a good idea

Does anyone else find that even though the cannabis industry is booming, budtenders lack basic benefits like decent pay, healthcare, PTO, vacation, maternity leave? My company was acquired recently by a much larger company and they considered my pregnancy a “pre-existing condition” therefore I got nothing for maternity leave although the prior company had pretty much accepted my claim. There’s much more but I’m pretty disgusted in this industry.

I impulsively spent $400 on concert tickets before I left my last job. Now I’m entering my third month at a new job and I’m worried it’s too early to take off to go. At the very least I would have to sign off an hour or two early to be able to make it on time. But I feel awkward asking because generally I wouldn’t take off this early. For context, I have unlimited PTO.

I have an offer and want to negotiate

1. London base salary but I have to absorb all the expenses (train + stay)
I am thinking to negotiate to

2. home base salary and have my expenses paid for

I know that's depends on the amount I have to travel (and potentially stay) but at the moment this is unknown. Past 8 months was just twice a month + 2 nights stay.

The only thing I know is it won't be every week, the return trian ticket is about £80-100, depends I could plan ahead.
