Enough work for today, Dad. Let’s snuggle.

Hi, Is it good to join Salesforce for Technical Consultant role (YOE - 3.2 years) ?
I checked with few of my connections, they saying I will be mostly allocated to Salesforce industries (Vlocity) project. Please suggest about the team structure and work life balance for this role.
and also in future, is it possible to apply for IJP in Salesforce ?
Please provide your thoughts on this.
Thanks

Definitely take full advantage that the baby can travel for free at that age - go with A
I hope you’re joking with B. It’s A and check in the stroller and car seat at the gate.
Why joking? We have done all 3 of these. Notably, once we had 2 kids under 2, we needed 1 in a seat. 2 babies on 2 laps was chaos
Currently on first trip with 3 mo old. The extra seat and option for putting in car seat is a game changer. Do that, even in economy it’s so much more comforable
Before our son was born, I was once on a rough flight and was sitting in the back within ear shot of flight attendants. Two were talking about the child in arms and the turbulence we were experiencing and said “when I have kids, they will always be in a car seat.”
That was good enough for me and our son always had a seat. Not only is it safer, but because he was used to being in car seat for road trips, it was familiar. Make sure your seat is FAA approved (not all are) and be prepared that about half of the flight attendants will check the sticker (so offer to show before you install). Other than installing the seat (pay for Premium economy to make it easier) it was always an easy flight. Never had any issues or stress. I think that is why he loves to travel now. At 9 years old, he probably has 40,000 frequent flyer miles now.
Once out of rear facing stroller, check your regular stroller at the curb and use one a GO-GO BABYZ TRAVELMATE Car Seat Travel Stroller for the airport. Best $90 spent at Amazon even though I suspect raw material costs are $1.
C. The free drinks will help you through the whole experience
How long is the flight? Learn to consult dad's!
Not gonna lie, I did option B with both my kids and it made it a hell of a lot easier. Gave them a bottle and they passed out while my ex wife and I actually got to relax. Be prepared for some glares from the minions as they board though
We do ~15 flights / year with kids and have since they were babies. Milk that free seat as long as you can stand it
Option A. Call to get bulk head seats so you can get the bassinet.
We did ATL- HNL with a 4 month old. Baby essentially wanted to feed every 1.5-2 hours. We were fine without the extra seat
Two items to add here:
1) When flying international check with your airline as you may have to pay a fee (say 10%) for the lap child - so not free.
2) If you do not take the car seat, try to be the last to board. No need to be the first and sit for an extra 45 min while everyone else boards.
Agree and disagree with item 2 here. If you are bulkhead and have a bunch of bags (diaper bag, pump bag, etc) you may have to sacrifice and get on first to ensure the overhead space. If traveling light, boarding last can be a great option
Nyc to Mexico City, so a little over 5 hours. I’m a little concerned about the lap thing, maybe it’s more comfortable for my son to sleep in a car seat. Really like the idea of biz class though (no car seats allowed). Like option A but worried about space. Thanks all
You can bring a car seat in biz class. I was on a flight with Kristin Cavallari and she had the nanny sit next to her baby in a car seat and she sat across by herself. This was a couple years ago, but I’ve seen it happen.
We flew business class with ours around the same age as yours. The free drinks and extra service make it worth it.
Option A. Bring inflatable nursing pillow
Have done A and C (for 5+hr flights). C is the way to go if possible
5 month old will sleep the whole time. Definitely A. Although if you don’t care about the costs C could also be a good option
Option C worked best for my family
If you have the means definitely use the car seat. Our cutoff is 2 hours... I.e. under 2 hours we hold and over 2 hours we buy the seat. Bonus of buying the seat is you also don’t have a random with you in the row
