CBD oil. I Got off Adderall about a year ago. Helped with the side effects as well from withdrawal.
I’ve tried CBD oil but I didn’t notice anything :( I’m so glad you were able to find something that worked/ works for you!
I take Ritalin extended release. Haven’t noticed any bad side effects.
My psychiatrist recommended Concerta, it was just as expensive as Vyvanse. It’s also important to note that I’m on 30 mg of Adderall XR.
What are ur side effects? Also feeling off from adderall
Are you opposed to taking an antidepressant?
Wellbutrin is a known “off-label” adhd medication. While studies have shown stimulates to be the most effective on adhd, the assumptions behind them were that your only issue is adhd and that you’ve been correctly diagnosed. Antidepressants are commonly prescribed alongside stimulants like adderall to treat adhd.
I’ve heard great things about Desoxyn. If your doctor won’t prescribe or the copay is too high, I hear there are street-available generics 😉
To those asking about my side effects:
I’ve lost a lot of weight and muscle. Used to be very athletic and lean. Biggest side effect is constant chest pain/ mini panic attacks. I also haven’t been able to workout because if I even attempt to run a mile it would be catastrophic.
Dosage is 30mg adderall XR.
My Psychiatrist recommended Concerta but it was just as expensive as Vyvanse.

My physician recommended Wellbutrin but I’m scared to try something new cause of my current experience.
I’d take the ADHD...are there behavior mods that you can try vs. drugs? Sounds so bad for you. 😔 I hope you can figure it out - you are worth it and if changing jobs to get this figure out is what it takes, do that too.
I’ve had good lunch with straterra. It’s a non-stimulant which is better for my anxiety.
Yes - what’s good for ADHD and anxiety ?
What are the bad side effects that you have ?
I have been super moody anti o social
My pleasure. When asking, be clear that you don’t want the XR (extended release), that caused the medication to be released throughout a 24 hour period which screws with sleep. It can also sorta build up in your system (or so was explained to me) so you end up with a higher than intended dose over time.
Psychiatrists alone aren’t my fav when it comes to mental health type stuff because they tend to focus more on medicating than cognitive tools (when you’re a hammer, everything’s a nail). Psychologists or counselors can’t write scripts so all their training focus is on the cognitive tools. A treatment plan where medication is necessitated should encompass someone from both camps. Like when you blow out your knee, you need the surgeon to make the repair (the psychiatrist) but you also need physical therapy (the psychologist/counselor) to get fully recovered.
An adhd specialist, in my experience, would be a counselor who partners with a psychiatrist-ideally they’d practice in the same office.
Good luck!
Definitely talk to your physician. There are other medications such as Concerta.
