Hey fishes
I have received two mails from Tiger Analytics one is a case study and
other sql assessment
In case study it is mentioned to
submit within 3 days but for sql
assessment nothing is mentioned
Anyone have idea for it's timelines
Also it would be really helpful if any
experience is shared regarding what
kind of questions are expected for
this assessment.

I did ~20 cases with a partner (mix of MBB consultants that I knew and online case buddies) and burned through a casebook. Most of my mbb colleagues did 20-40
I did around 10-15 cases by myself. Don’t feel like you need to do a ton of cases. The concepts get engrained pretty quickly after 7-8 tries
Theres only a few concepts needed for McKinsey cases and none of them are the traditional consulting frameworks you read about online
Learn MECE, top down communication, how to walk interviewer through your logic, and how to derive real insights from charts (not regurgitating surface level data but making connections and hypotheses based on it)
Fantastic. I’ve heard 100, but didn’t know if that included independent study as well.
Be careful with frameworks. Better to work it out from first principles and common sense than apply a framework that doesn’t fit.
I’ve probably done several hundred MBB case interviews. We don’t expect frameworks. We expect smart people who can think flexibly, apply judgement and communicate. None of that requires practice. Just prep enough that you’re not thrown by a case. Then focus on being human.
Do you want to prep together - I might be starting the process soon
That would be great. I’m interviewing now.
PEI is also very important
People can fail just on that
I’ve got that covered.
