I have a great job. I’m a 32yo 2019 grad In house doing exactly the type of work I planned on doing since law school. Great career trajectory. Have a good title (Director). Work 9-5 most days, 9-3 most Fridays. WFH 3x per week. Make about $300k/yr. Have a nice office. Good boss. Get to travel internationally and domestically but not too much, and it’s always high-end. Tons of PTO I can actually use. Good benefits.
Went in house as a 4th year. Tried to stay 2 years at each but my last firm I left after 7 months but started looking to go in house 5 months in.
I am assigned counsel in the family court and it is decent pay (not biglaw partner level at all LOL) but I work 8-4:30 20 minutes from my house. As a working mom, the job is awesome because of the hours. The job itself is crazy stressful but it comes with the territory.
Money, intellectually stimulating, money, always moving and changing, money, uses the skills I enjoy using, money, great clients
