What is PTO like at other firms? With GT’s FTO policy, I was able to take 7 weeks off last year (granted I ended the year with over 100% utilization). Curious if it’s similar at other firms with PTO

Dating an older man (he’s mid 40s, I’m mid 20s). We are pretty serious so we are having open conversations about money and whatnot. We just split the cost of a trip 50/50, which was a bit of a push for me but I did it anyways. Put in PTO to recharge from a bad project. Manager threw me under the bus to SM claiming I didn’t provide her a coverage plan. Going into PTO feeling like shit.

I wasn't just drunk at the end of the holiday party (and after party), I was hammered drunk. I'm pretty sure I was walking in a busy road and a Good Samaritan took me back to my hotel. Good times.

Wonder how long I could keep collecting checks if I accepted an offer at one of those scam ass “unlimited PTO" companies and dipped the first week without returning.

A vacation home was previously listed on the market for almost 2 years at 200K and recently bumped up to 240K. Is it crazy to put an offer for 195/200K?

I feel like I am giving too much and then get frustrated cause I am not getting what I expect in return although I know there’s no tit for tat, i.e I let my brother stay in my NYC apartment for vacation and stayed with my partner for 2 weeks. He earns enough to pay a hotel and I would have expected him to offer to pay a portion of my rent, didn’t ask for it upfront though. I was having disadvantages through him staying, but wanted him to save some money. He’s never done anything similar for me..
