I like Accenture’s vibe better.
I’ve met incredible people at both, but I think overall I’ve met more down-to-earth folks at ACN.
Compensation is better at Deloitte.
Just a personal data-point for compensation. Apologies for the generalization!
Having worked at both - yes there are some culture differences for the firms, but my manager/client/project made up 95% of my experience and “firm culture” more like 5%. My experiences varied much more on different engagements at the same company than when I switched firms but kept a client. That said, Accenture was a little more laid back but the promotion process was a little more political, and Deloitte paid a little better.
Deloitte has more exit opps, brand recognition and better salary - the work is also more varied and less focused on IT.
My understanding (from talking to friends at Accenture) is that comp in tech consulting is fairly similar, at least for those who join out of undergrad.
