For those with a business background, why do you feel like an MBA is still worth it given the cost, plus lost salary for 2 years for FT programs? I feel like with AI there is so much risk going through school again since you can learn a lot online and go to events to network instead. Please help share your thoughts

I currently work as a GM and Operations manager for a family owned Restaurant chain in Denver, CO. I run four Restaurants, and two Coffee shops for the owner. I opened four of these businesses since January 2021. My salary is 73k. I feel very underpaid and very overworked to the point of burnout. I’m wondering what “fair compensation” might be. I want to ask for a raise but not sure what to ask for.

Where’d you get your MBA? Looking at a 10 course program 30 cr hours for 19,000 USD. The school is AASCB credited. It would be an MBA with a a focus on management and transformational leadership.

So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?

Historical average is 10%+, which would provide roughly $2.7 million for a baby born today.
