Fortunate to have received a job offer from a MBB/Tier 2 consulting firm, with the role starting next summer (generalist track). However, I’ve been reading that getting staffed on the projects you want often requires networking beforehand. With that in mind, if I am interested in a very specific industry, would it be weird to network on LinkedIn before my official start date, for the best chance to get staffed on those projects?
