From the NYT (broadly speaking, 1/6 as bad as delta)

On Friday, before holiday interruptions to data reporting began to affect the nation’s daily case totals, the seven-day national average of new daily cases surpassed 197,000, a 65 percent jump over the last 14 days, and hospitalizations reached a seven-day average of more than 70,000, an increase of 10 percent.

Capital One colleagues- is it possible for me to negotiate my PTO? My offer says I have 10 days (which is super low IMO) for my first year. I’m getting married this year and need time for an India trip, so would need at least 15-18 days. Also the offer says 10 days for the first calendar year- does that mean till the end of 2022, or the first year of service?

Had a really bad day 😞 I don’t know why I keep doing this to myself. Things will be going well and then out of nowhere I get blackout drunk. I am tired of feeling sick and anxious from drinking. I don’t really even want to drink sometimes but do it anyway. Blacked out last night, and still feel sick now. I’ve never shared with anyone that I have this problem, until I found this message board. I have so much anxiety that I won’t be able to get this under control. I feel isolated and sad.

Anyone who is PR and resident of Manitoba can dm me to discuss around it. I am ready to pay for this assistance as well.
