I am only a doctor of the laws, but from everything I have read, if you are vaccinated you have really nothing to worry about with respect to Delta variant.

P1, that would be waaaay too simple for most people. People seem to want to panic and freak out and pay no attention to voice of reason.

I'm from the UK. Please ignore all this stuff because it's domestically-targeted propaganda.
The government messaging in the UK is (for whatever reason) that vaccinated people still need to mask, socially distance, quarantine if they are a contact of a case, and effectively can't travel abroad without expensive tests and risk hotel quarantine when they return. To support this message, they are playing up every scientific uncertainty and getting the word "may" to do a lot of heavy lifting (as in, "fully vaccinated people may still be able to catch and transmit the virus" or "the vaccine may not be effective against the Delta Variant")
I don't know why they are doing it that way. But I'd suggest taking anything from the UK with a pinch of salt.

Sure enough, today's Public Health England variant surveillance report suggests Delta is LESS deadly than other variants

A fully vaccinated aunt died, probably due to one the variants. She was diabetic which definitely aggravated the scenario.
That said, I’m not one of the people that just switched back to normal just because I’m vaccinated. I know that the vaccine is effective in most cases but if I can avoid unnecessary risks I will.
I’m going out but still not dining indoors, I’m not taking a plane (I’m going on vacation but closer so we can drive). It’s something that is still new and what we know about is changing every time. I have the privilege to be cautious until we know better so I’ll be.

This is what I’m doing also. If I go anywhere inside that might have unvaccinated people, I wear a mask. The vaccine is not 100%, so I only get together unmasked with people I know are vaccinated.

It’s clickbait. Only 30% in U.K. are fully vaccinated, and those are not the people getting infected.

The UK has some data on their Delta vatiant surge. It looks like vaccinated folks are still largely protected from severe enough illness for hospitalization.

In my view and based on conversations with many physicians who are much smarter than I am, you are well protected with that vaccine.
Can’t get past the paywall but apparently there are new studies suggesting phizer is 96 percent effective against delta variant.

I think the data has not caught up with reality quite yet. It doesn’t help that the CDC no longer tracks mild or asymptomatic breakthrough cases.
Anecdotally, I have a friend who, fully vaccinated with Pfizer, got the delta strain, was pretty sick, and infected her fully vaccinated father who ended up in the hospital.
Rising Star
Yeah. I don’t wanna risk others and I don’t wanna get sick. So I will lay low for a little longer. I survived all this time I don’t feel the urge to switch back completely.
Saw data yesterday that the latest is they believe you’re 30% protected against the delta variant with your first Pfizer dose, 80+% with second - I’ll see if I can find the link

The answer is maybe. They think the vaccine might protect you from variants or you might need a booster.
