Fun part of the largest private wine cellar in the world - old bottles at bargain prices. Even though it was a few years past drinking date, I still thought it was delicious for $38. Berns Steakhouse in Tampa.

$38? Wow! Berns is on my list next time I’m in the area. Is it as awesome as the reviews say?

like

Love Berns! I found it fascinating that they bring their own grain into flour for their rolls! And seeded tomatoes 🤯

like

Omg a 2002 coonawarra! Incredible

like

Oh wow only 38?! I’d buy the whole lot…

Bern’s is legendary. Why do you say it was past the drinking date? Unless you got that from the winemaker, things like CellarTracker are just crowdsourced opinions

Gotcha. Sounds like it was memorable regardless - I love training my palate with wines that are both too young and past their prime - it’s the only way you learn what’s “just right” (like Goldilocks haha)! Glad y’all enjoyed it!

I’ve heard about that place. Hear it’s amazing and can’t wait to go. Largest in the US, not the world

@EY1 My favorite was Gundog Estate. Man I love the semillons from that region too. 🤤

Big fan of this one. Not super bold. More velvety. Subtle leathery taste, hints of vanilla! I picked up a half case for 120, or $20 a bottle! I may actually buy more. 8/10 for price and taste. Very elegant.
