If you want to be treated better, switch to Hyatt.
Hyatt
Yeah Hyatt isn't an option for me, lots of client locations in not great areas.
I do both every year
OP You just missed the prime time of Hilton! The awesome double points promotion just ended 2 days back after about 6 months of continuation. But still Hilton and bonvoy both got its own goods and bads. Suggest to have both
I switched from Hilton middle of last year after being a dedicated member for a few years. I still have diamond status, but likely to expire end of 2020 since I’ve been staying at only Marriott properties now. My primary reason for switching was because Hilton lacked a good amount of luxury hotels in their chain.
That's not a negative for me. I generally dislike luxury hotels, and never use them on personal travel b/c I have two young kids.
Hilton Garden inn works great when taking the kids to the beach or a soccer tournament.
Some Conrads and Hilton’s (e.g. in NYC and London) are very luxurious for the $ they cost. Most non major cities, selection is hit or miss
No
While Hilton has fewer luxury brands, I have fewer black out issues (none) when trying to redeem.
