I have an initial recruiter phone interview with Square Thursday. Is it it just a phone call or is it a video call and they didn’t specify. If it’s a video call what’s the dress code like? I’m coming from consulting so all my interviews were in suits. Any tips to get past the recruiter phone screen?

Maybe you will get it right at your 2nd director role after a second 20% raise
A bit confused. They are also hiring for a Director. I don’t feel qualified to be a director, manage a bunch of people and lead a team....have never done it in the past. Not to mention I feel weird because I’m 10 years younger than the youngest person on the team as far as I can tell from LinkedIn and definitely have less experience than them. It’s one thing to be their peer, but to manage them is a whole new ballgame. Advice? What to do?
Also, I’m 4 years out (26 years old) of undergrad but worked full time as an analyst/sr analyst at a global company through all four years of school so have ~8 total years of experience. I am terrified
What are you terrified of?
What’s the worst that’s going to happen? You will not do well in the interview or the role? So what, it will be a learning.
It’s possible they might just not have a senior manager case, or maybe they wanted to size you up for both roles. Don’t sweat it, just do your best and see how it unfolds.
