I’m interested in moving to the US. I currently live in Canada and I’m looking to move to the US on TN status. For anyone who has applied for a TN visa/status, how did you navigate applying for jobs? On applications did you mention you required sponsorship? Were you able to secure positions by applying through job websites or did you only get through by networking? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm having two 2nd-to-last rounds for non-G FAANGs this week, but I haven't heard if/when I am advancing in interviews for 2 different roles at G that I last interviewed or phone screened for 2 weeks ago. Will Google speed up if I tell them I'm in the process with another FAANG? Will it look bad if I tell G I'm advancing elsewhere but don't get the offer elsewhere?

I'm interested interviewing for a position that was advertised as DOE. I understand this means depending on experience, but is there a range I should ask for? If they ask my desired salary, do I tell them? I haven't interviewed for a position like this before.

How did you ask for green card upon receiving H1B? I am a H1B holder thinking about asking my employer to sponsor my green card (same employer who sponsored my H1B). Curious to hear how others with similar experience have managed such conversations!

I got rejected for an interview from Big 4 NY Audit, even had referrals from Manager + level people. 3 years w/ audit senior at mid size firm, 2 years fed tax at big 4, and 1.5 years Internal Audit healthcare. Are initial law firm consultations usually free? I’m on H1B and wanted to schedule an initial consultation with an immigration lawyer to discuss some GC options (outside of employment based) and was told I’d have to pay $200 for a consultation (45 mins session).

When switching to a new company, does Deloitte cancels the employee's already approved i-140 or do they leave it as it is and the new company can simply restart the i-140 process?

I’m maxing out the 6th year for H1b and my I-140 just got approved. 1 month ago, my employer has filed a h1b extension but it is based on the approved PERM instead of the 140, and only asked for one-year extension. In that case, after 6 months (180 days i140 rule to avoid employer’s revoke), will I be able to switch employers even though the renewed H1b gonna expire soon at that time?
