Best consulting firms without the massive ego?
Helo everyone, I had an interview scheduled with Cognizant on last week of Jan 2022 but due to technical error in Verification code I couldn't join interview lobby. I reported the same to the HR and I was told the interview will be rescheduled. Now there's no update from the HR. Could you please guide me how can I proceed or any email address to which I can inform to take the rescheduling process further.
Thanks in advance

I love it and never want to go to the office again
I'm a pretty social person, and I have to leave my house at least once a day or I go crazy. I go into the office once a week, go to the gym 3 days a week, run errands on separate days, all to break up the boredom. If you live alone, this is especially key. But if you have a good friend group, then this frees up more time to see them, and find additional hobbies as you save time commuting.
That’s the whole reason I want to go remote is so I can relocate to AR from TX for mountain biking! Being in an office all day makes me sad! I wanna be able to work from a park or Starbucks on some days!!!
I’m introverted and i love it! I spend more time with my family.Never wanna go to the office.lol
I’m just more relaxed and less nervous this way.also i have a hard time focusing while i’m not alone so WFH works the best for me

You can still meet up with people during the day, to go to lunch or coffee or the gym or whatever. Or work from a coffee shop if you like the hustle and bustle around you.

I’ve been mostly remote for 2.5 years now and it’s the best. Can’t see myself ever accepting a job that requires in office days

Nah I’m just in advisory so my team is nationally staffed so there’s no reason to go into my local office. I travel to a client site every 6-8 weeks or so which is plenty
I was remote prior to the pandemic and love it. You get to save money on gas, no pressure to rush to get to the office, and you can get some serious work done (both actual work and chores around the house). With that said it’s easy to get lonely real fast if you don’t force yourself to go out and socialize through other means.
Personally, WHF isn’t always better. I enjoy (and most days need) the ritual of getting dressed, leaving my house, and having somewhere deliberate to go to work each day. That said, I do really enjoy the freedom of WFH and the ability to “work from anywhere”.
When Covid happened and my employer at the time went remote and the world was shuttered I was losing my mind with no separation from work and home life. Add to it my S/O being home from work 24/7 it was very stressful.
I now work at a completely remote company and have found the happy medium to be WeWork — It allows me the remote flexibility to actually WFH if I want, to go into an office, or even to work from a coffee shop some days. I can travel and visit friends in other cities and still have a place to work M-F surrounded by other people doing work as opposed to being at home with a S/O who’s not working or having to deal with any of the commotion and distraction that can come from permanently being stuck “working” in your house.
TLDR; The freedom and flexibility is nice, but having an office environment to work out of is underrated.
Love this!! And tbh I really do enjoy the ritual as well! I am such a creature of habit but also feeling so burned out from being indoors wishing I was anywhere other than a damn cubicle!! Luckily my S/O does not have the option to work remotely, so that’s one plus.
I was a huge advocate for remote work and I still somewhat am, but only if you're someone who has systems in place to thrive in it (ex. a place large enough for a home office/desk, gym membership to stay active, friend/family group nearby for social interaction, a strong resistance to distractions, etc.). I'm actually on the verge of leaving my current position because I can no longer WFH. I'm a big people-person and the lack of human connection has been making me feel very unmotivated and depressed - and this is even with a healthy social life. I also noticed that my social skills are going down the drain, which is not good.
Of course, this is my personal experience and it may be different for you. If you've never experienced remote work, definitely take a chance and see if you'd enjoy it. If you don't, there's nothing holding you back from finding another position (Pro: interviewing for alternative jobs is easier when you WFH).
I wish you all the luck on your interview!
If I get an offer for this remote job it will give me the ability to relocate to Arkansas which is such a big dream for me, and I am terrible with change but if I don’t try I feel that I will regret it in the long run. Trying not to think about the what ifs! Thank you so much for your input!
I’m an introvert. I live alone and wfh caused me to quit my last job. All work and no social interaction.
If I had a pet or my partner lived with me, that would change the situation perhaps.
Interesting! I do have a boyfriend that I have been/lived with for 10 years now and two lovely cats! So maybe the transition won’t be too terrible.
It was the greatest thing to ever happen to me. I never want to be forced back to an office
I freaking love it and never want to work in an office again! I can manage all aspects of my life, feel comfortable in my surroundings , not waste time socializing or dealing with office drama/politics, and I am far more productive and can crush an 8 hour focused workday.
It works for my current young family life. But, some days I do feel like Gollum a little bit...mostly because of eating fish heads but other reasons, too.
I'm now on my second fully remote job and I hope I never have to go FT in an office ever again.
It can be a challenge to go outside or get up and stretch some days, but that's more than compensated for by the freedom and flexibility I have. I'm more productive in fewer hours too, so that plus no commute means more hours for personal enjoyment!
I enjoy chatting with coworkers sometimes but get sufficient socialization on my own time. Just like with any work situation, you make of it what you will.
I've been working remote for almost four years. I love it and will never go back to an office.
I absolutely love working from home and I don't want to ever have to go into the office again (key words- have to) since the flexibility is unmatched and you save so much time with commuting, etc. That being said, I do like having an office to go to for certain meetings/get togethers for that social aspect, or if your work would be compromised at home (IE wifi issues, loud people, construction, etc). I don't feel lonely since my coworkers are very friendly and personable, and I have social weekends so it's a good balance for me
It’s a mixed bag for me. I’ve been working remote since March 2020 (like a lot of people). Being an introvert, I appreciate not having to engage in small talk with coworkers. Not having to commute anymore is also awesome, as is being able to wear tees everyday vs business casual attire. However, I absolutely loathe the company and position I’m in, and would not be opposed to returning to the office, depending on the commute time.

I liked remote for a while but my last team and manager were terrible. Very little cohesiveness and collaboration or communication. I’m back in the office at a new job. I’m more energized. I also liked the feeling of a start and end to in office work day. WFH ended up feeling like living at work. I think your WFH experience really depends on your manager and how they lead your team. I don’t mind in office as long as the commute isn’t bad, and the work and pay are good.
I’m very social and working from home is the best. I don’t think i can ever go back full time to office.

Can anyone recommend a great remote job in Long Island New York I would love to have one
I've worked remotely since late 2018 because I work almost 100 miles from my office. I'm an introvert but do occasionally miss being in the office. If I lived closer to my office, I would absolutely be in the office a couple days a week.
