Hi ,I have been interviewed and selected in S&P Global .salary almost negotiated and waiting for the offer letter to release. But seems like they are not willing to release the offer because of my 90 np . They are asking to join by 60 days but initially I told them my NP is 90. Even I am ready to take the 60 days offer but now they are not releasing offer as they want assurance. Now they are not picking calls.seems like i will loose the offer. Is there anything can be done.

I know people that took great offers. I have coworker that went to work for “defense” companies. Personally, I can never look myself in the mirror every morning knowing that I used my knowledge and skills to contribute to the creation of a hardware/software which primarily function is to kill/destroy. I prefer to contribute to creation of hardware/software which primary function is to bring humanity together. Don’t know about anyone else but for me, no amount of money will ever entice me to take a job at a company that produces hardware/software which primary function is to kill/destroy.
Unlike the other commenter - I would offer an alternative perspective, defense contractors work in a variety of different sectors. It's not all weapons of mass destruction. You could very easily work for Lockheed on the next weather satellite or something of the likes.
Be open minded. There is a lot of work out there beyond the "primary function is to kill/destroy"
Yes, you are right. Boeing started out as commercial and they now have a “defense” division. OP stated that it was a “defense contractor” job so I assumed it was working on defense hardware/software. I understand the need to have this industry and understand that if every engineer thought like me, US won’t have any hardware/software to defend itself from other hostile governments. That why I said, it’s just me. Just boils down to if one is happy with what they are doing. OP already mentioned that the prospective job is making him/her queasy and is questioning his/her conscience.
