Would it be seen as a downgrade to go from agencyAD to presentation designer?
I’m wondering if I’m in the wrong position. I thought I was used to throwing out a fuckton of ideas + animating them + getting shot down a ton, but I’m only getting more and more miserable as time passes.
I feel like my energy is getting wasted and would be happier focusing on slides and presentations only, but I’m afraid it’ll hurt my career trajectory. But I also heard presentation designers make a lot. Thoughts?
Just got my first law school acceptance and trying to gauge my potential choices given my preferred trajectory. Background: lifelong East Coaster, looking to be here post school, ideally NYC where I’ve been for 6+ years. School is SLU and I’m strictly targeting for health law. The question: are law firms with health practices in NYC hiring from this school/Midwest? Is it better to go to an east coast school to stay on the east coast despite program reputation? TIA! Feel free to PM me.

Last Wednesday 8/3, I had my final interview with oracle. They are hiring 2 people for role and the hiring manager stated she had more interviews next week and was looking to make a decision by the end of the next week but didn’t specify I’d hear back at the end of next week. It’s now Friday 8/12, is it okay to reach out to the recruiter today for follow up or should I wait until Monday?
I have over 12 years in B2B sales/sales management experience along with a graduate degree. I am wanting to shift gears and I am at a point where I can invest time in myself to learn through practical experience. The new industry I am wanting to pursue is real estate investment. I have read all the books but want some hands on experience on the property management side. How could I best leverage my skills for a role in this, and what should my expectations be for negotiation in compensation?

HELLO...it’s like everyone here is missing the entire point. Yes it’s literally your SM’s job to create as much work as possible so you keep billing.
A ship engine failed but no one could fix it, so they brought in a very experienced man. He inspected the engine very carefully. After looking things over, the guy pulled out a hammer. He gently tapped something. Instantly, the engine burst back into life.
The owner was given a bill for $1,000,000.
The invoice said:
Tapping with a hammer: $5
Knowing where to tap: $999,995
In response, the owner murdered the man with a hammer.
Moral: Hammers rule.
