Forcing me to use my standing desk

Any handsome guys in LA? I’m so lonely
My probation was supposed to be of 6 months (i.e until June 2022), but today I received a notification in Workday that I have passed my probation.
How is this possible?
I was planning to resign within probation for 30days notice period. But now this happened. Will this change my notice period to 90days??

The fact that you were able to land on a job itself proves that you are smart. Smart enough to get an interview then impress the leadership then get an offer and now back in the workforce. Go get em bruh
Do you do anything outside of work? I find that when I place all my value on my career, my self esteem is erratic. I picked up half marathon training. When my career self is failing, at least I’m doing something right when I’m running. I can look forward to it. Same with any hobby. Just like investing, don’t bet all your self worth on one thing. My advice is to diversity your sense of value while starting your new gig. Good luck!
It’s lotta stress and takes a lot of patience as well, it’s was such a rough times and we got through it. The self doubt side is super hard specially around the time I got laid off I was preparing to propose to my GF. The bright side is, after this hard times, I am more convinced by the way how she supported me and believed in me that she is the one for me
I have been packaged out twice in my career and am a mid career partner making above the partner median.
It happens, stay strong, learn from what you could have done better and keep evolving.
It’s all mental. Everyone goes through struggles in life. Go in energized and with a fresh perspective. Forget your old role. You have an opportunity to make a brand new impression and show your new company why they are lucky to have you. Success is the best revenge.
Getting laid off is normal in our line of work. Sometimes it may have nothing to do with you. Best of luck with the new position!
Sort of in the same situation. Only that I'm still relatively inexperienced (25 years old with 2 years experience) . Moving into industry and hoping I can fit in!
Thanks, OP. Good luck to you as well !
I believe in you!!!!!!!
Damn this post has been remarkably positive and upbeat (minus D3, they sound like they lack basic emotional intelligence and prolly will get screwed sometime soon at daddy d). Faith in consulting somewhat restored. OP you’re gonna kill it at your next role!
Giddy up OP, you'll be fine. All the best...
If you are finding that you fighting worthlessness and lack of joy... try creating a joy journal. Every night while you are laying in bed write down 3 things that brought you joy. Be disciplined about the habit and you will find that you will be more mindful of things to put in it each night. The mindful of joy the more you will find it. Just like when you bought the car you drive. You probably never noticed them as much until you stated driving one. Best of luck
BAH I have never heard of this approach. Is there an acronym or name for this approach ? I will look it up and it sounds so intriguing
It’s amazing how sometimes we get so dragged into the small details and forget about the how blessed we are
Now that you’re done venting and got it out of your system, go be a rockstar at the new job! There were many reasons for the extensive layoffs we had across the firm in all OPs, and only some % were related to performance. You have 6 years in consulting, that’s has prepared you well for future success. Good luck, you will kick ass!
Where did you land? I got let go from McKinsey, and it’s been 7 months without finding somehting
Sorry to hear that Mc, feel free to dm me if you’d like to connect and I’ll be happy to share any leads I have
I lost my job from Deloitte and I got so many offers after that. Also my salary doubled from 2017. I love Deloitte and I wouldn’t have quit working with so many good friends. But I am fine with the decision from HR.
