Hi fishes,I have around 5.2 yrs of hands on exp in data engg. and able to clear service based companies interviews easily. Now I want to switch to product based companies as I am looking for some good work, good salary but I am not really strong in dsa as it's not part of my daily work.I don't really use trees and graphs as part of my daily work.
How shall I switch to product based companies considering DSA is their 1st round itself.what level of DSA can I expect from companies for data engineer position?

I've worked at the same engineering firm for 4 years. I'm currently making $161k with only a $750 bonus, but excellent vacation (4 weeks, cash out anytime, rolls over indefinitely), 45 hours a week. I have an interview with a recruiter at Guidehouse this week for a Technical Project Manager role. It seems to be focused in the government space and requires a security clearance. What sort of salary and benefits could I expect for this sort of role at Guidehouse?

Be honest in the root of why you're leaving, but don't explicitly say you've been laid off unless asked... e.g., "as I've progressed in consulting, skill sets have shifted from xyz to building client relationships, and I'm at a point in my career where it makes sense to look elsewhere, as I really want to continue going deep in xyz"
I asked HR flat out if during your severance period can you claim your still under employment. HR informed me they give out the date of your last day at work. I have found a lot of other recruiting firms already know about PwC layoffs my linked in exploded the day after. Best of luck to us all!
You'd be surprised @pwc1.... Went in there expecting a promotion
Everyone will ask why you're leaving, very few will ask if it was your decision...
Cover it up dude. Even the firms don't repeat it, so it never sticks on u. That said sorry to hear about it OP
Cover. Firms only give out your rank and months employed. If you have trouble lying, focus on the true parts of your story eg "I am looking for an opportunity where I can be more of a leader" "I am not comfortable with the direction my practice is headed" "Pwc sucks balls"... General statements like that
If you guys are looking to come to ACN, let me know! Im pretty close with the recruiter for my group for security. What's assurance cyber?
Sorry to hear, which practice Advisory or Assurance?
Got laid off just now as well....*cyber isn't doing well*
Really sorry to hear this OP. We would not have this problem if they let people do what they were good at instead of making them conform to a rank.
How do they report it to background checks?
Laid off now? I thought these weren't happening now
Sorry OP. It's really terrible. I hope you land something right away
I'm sorry, buddy. I fear I'm at risk too. What did they offer you?
Damn cyber isn't doing well?? Good thing I turned pwc down...come to ACN! From what I hear our bench is thin!
Damn sorry to hear
I'm in Cyber within Assurance and I don't feel much job security either
How was the severance OP?
Ah sorry to hear OP.
Even if you're laid off, some companies allow you to say you're still employed while you're receiving severance. I'd check with HR
