I think it’s important that if they give you more work and put you to lead a team to have an incentive for it. Cause why be in charge of a team if that is not showing in what you are getting, yet you are getting more responsibility. You should also ask for some leadership programs to help you transition to your new position. It’s important to have a balance between what you are getting payed as well as your performance as manager to help the people in your team grow as well as you growing as a manager.
