Hi Fishes I have been interviewing with Microsoft for the role of Product Manager done with 4 rounds.
I got a mail that I'm rejected
I reached out to the HR Team they mentioned, role is on hold along with many other roles
Anyone know how long this freeze is going to be ? people who already cleared most of rounds will be preferred when freeze opens ?
Please guide me as I've put all my Hopes on this role.

I'd stay one more year at PA and then bounce for higher $$ positions
No experience in a private equity company, but went from auditing local governments to a Senior Accountant role at a City with a population over 50,000 and received a 30% pay bump (senior associate/4 years in public accounting). I think I was at $64k and city paid $82,700 at the end of 2020. I'm now around $110k + $9k for MERIT and cafeteria plan surplus for 2025 (same position). 40 hours max. My boss is great, usually putting in more like 36 hours weekly. Minnesota.
No idea. I would guess you'll like your boss more in government, but that's not guaranteed. It's relatively easy to move from city to city if you are looking to become a finance director. I have been tempted, but I like my boss too much to leave currently. Money is good but bosses can make or break a job.
Rising Star
It would depend on the reasons for the turnover to me and my guess is they are the usual of toxic work environment and burnout. I'd take the city job if needed but otherwise would keep looking.
How much do you value wlb? The PE company will be terrible for wlb and IA will be great.
Also a PE owned company with high turnover is a big red flag to me
Rising Star
I'd go with the PE backed firm
I would stay until I had the required years necessary to become a CPA. Have you already passed the exam?
Well I am laid off from public accounting and currently have two offers but my heart is with IA in government (the lower salary)
